Congrats to the CCMS Jazz Band!! The group traveled to Lexington, KY last week and performed in KMEA’s State Jazz Assessment. The band played two tunes that featured outstanding solos from four of our 8th graders: Aaron Haas, Evan Heiert, Mustafa Akhtar, and Kylee Lawson. The band received distinguished ratings from both judges and got to do a 30-minute clinic afterwards with Dr. Joe Carucci, professional saxophonist and professor at EKU.
